Fortement intriguée par ce oiseau mystérieux, elle a enregistré le son qui la fait penser à un canard étranglé…
Apparemment il ne s’agit pas d’un migrateur, car il est aussi présent en hiver, mais plus discrètement.
Ornithologues, quel est cet oiseau selon vous ? Est-il possible de le nommer à partir de son cri…

I’m still trying to identify this bird (recording attached) that has been driving us mad since the summer - it is quieter now, but still very much around in the trees.
I have tried listening to our bird song cd’s, researching on the internet and even tried the RSPB (must find the French equivalent) - no joy. It sounds like a strangled duck, but it is not.
We have caught only the fleeting glance, we think, of it : medium sized anddark/black. It is not a crow though we thought it might be related - however call is quite distinctly not. Do you have any contacts in Lot Nature who are bird experts ?
